Welcome to the Washington County Republican Party!

We have created this site so that you can keep up with the latest news and information, sign up to volunteer, and learn about the various candidates and campaigns. Before exploring, allow me to share a bit about us.

There are three main Republican organizations in Washington County. The Executive Committee is the organization whose members vote on the majority of business. The group meets the first Monday of each month. The Central Committee features those Republicans elected at the precinct level and is responsible for: nominating Precinct Poll workers, voting on vacancies in office, and on the ballot. Finally, we have a Republican Women's Club that meets at noon on the second Monday of each month. The members of the Republican Women's Club also belong to the Ohio and National Republican Women's Federations.

Washington County is a vibrant area in Southeastern Ohio. The county seat is Marietta, located at the confluence of the Ohio and Muskingum rivers. Marietta is the first permanent organized settlement in the Northwest Territory 1788 (west of the Allegheny Mountains). Belpre, Ohio is located down river and is home to beautful parks. Other population centers in the County include Barlow/Vincent, Beverly/Waterford, Lowell, and Newport/ New Matamoras.

How you can help

There are numerous ways you can help elect principled Republican Leadership. Visit our "Volunteeer" page to sign up, but we need people for such basic things as yard signs to grassroots activities such as door to door and phone banking. We are always looking for headquarters' volunteers, and obviously your financial contributions helps our ability to provide operations and support to candidates.

We have at least two major fundraising events each year. In the early spring we host our Lincoln Dinner, and in the fall we host our Reagan Dinner. Your participation in these events helps the party and offers you the opportunity to meet many of the candidates for office each year.

Again, thank you for visiting our website. Be sure to check back often as we update the calendar and news section.
